President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa has ordered the lifting of the state of emergency in Sri Lanka, which is suffering from a financial crisis. The decision comes as protests by the Sri Lankan people intensify. All Sri Lankan cabinet ministers, except Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, have resigned amid mounting public outcry against the government.
