jpnn.com – JAKARTA – Special Staff to the Minister of Finance for Strategic Communications at the Ministry of Finance, Yustinus Prastowo, has spoken out in response to rumors that the Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani, is entering the election for the Governor of DKI Jakarta.

He touched on communication with political parties. According to him, until now there has been no communication between Sri Mulyani and any political party.

“Regarding the rumor that Mrs. Sri Mulyani is on the market as a candidate for Governor of DKI Jakarta, we can say that so far there has been absolutely no communication between Mrs. Sri Mulyani and any political party,” Prastowo told reporters in Jakarta, Wednesday (8/5).

He also said that Sri Mulyani was not in the capacity to comment on this issue.

The Minister of Finance is currently focusing on preparing the transition to the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN) so that it can run well.

“Now focus on preparing a good transition, so that the Jokowi to Prabowo government ratio runs well and the Ministry of Finance can be managed well. “We focus there,” he said.

Even though there was no formal discussion regarding this issue, Prastowo ensured that Sri Mulyani and the Ministry of Finance respected all discussions and aspirations in society.

“That will become the spice of democracy, as part of public discussion,” he said.
