CHENNAI: SRM – ISD won the championship by defeating Loyola College in the final of the Inter-College Ball Badminton Tournament.
On behalf of Chennai Nandanam, YMCA, College of Physical Education, in memory of its founder ‘Harry Crowe Buck’, sports competitions for the ‘Buck’ Cup are being held at the college grounds.
Various competitions are held including ball badminton, volleyball, football, cricket, tennis and darts. School and college teams from Chennai and suburbs participated enthusiastically. In the Ball Badminton Tournament semi-final, SRM – ISD College team and SRM Art College team clashed.
In this, SRM, ISD college team won with the score of 35–30, 35–16 and met Loyola college team in the final match. The first set was won by 35–30. .RM, – ISD, College won the next set very easily by 35 – 23 points and clinched the title of ‘Champion’.
