Bangalore: Actor Arjun will soon be released from the ongoing sex case of actress Sruthi Harikaran. The court has accepted the statement filed by the police that actor Arjun is innocent in the case.
Sex case against Arjun
Sruthi Harikaran played the heroine in the movie ‘Nipunan’ starring actor Arjun. The film was released in Kannada as ‘Vismaya’. In this case, actress Sruthi Harikaran complained through the hashtag ‘Meedu’ posted on the social networking site that actor Arjun sexually harassed her during the shooting of the expert film. Sruthi Harikaran had lodged a complaint at the Kappanpark Police Station in Bangalore in 2018. Cuppon Park police have filed a case and are investigating.
During the police investigation over the last 2 years, the police did not find any evidence against actor Arjun in connection with the sexual harassment of actress Sruthi Harikaran. Subsequently, the Cubbonpark police had filed a ‘B’ report last year (2021) in the 8th Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court in Bangalore, claiming that actor Arjun was innocent in the sex case.
Is released
Following this, the court had directed actress Sruthi Harikaran to object to the ‘B’ report filed by the police. It was announced yesterday that the trial would take place in the Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court. But actress Sruthi Harikaran, who had lodged a sexual complaint against actor Arjun, has not filed any petition in the court objecting to the ‘B’ statement of the police.
Instead he did not appear for trial in court yesterday. Following this, the judges said that actor Arjun was innocent and had not been convicted in the ongoing sex case of actress Sruthi Harikaran. The judges also approved and ordered the police ‘B’ report. According to court sources, actor Arjun will be released soon from the case.
