The director’s response was at a press meet held in connection with the release of RRR. ” Characters are important for his film. The characters are decided according to the story and the character. Of course, if there is a story and character that can be done with Mammootty and Mohanlal, there will be a film like that, ”said Rajamouli.

The film is set in the 1920s and tells the story of freedom fighters Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bhim. They were the leaders of the tribal struggles in Telangana before independence. At the same time they have not been seen directly in real life. Rajamouli has written the story of the film with the imagination that the two would have seen each other.
