Employees of the Committee for Nature Management, together with the St. Petersburg prosecutor’s office, seized a dump truck and a bulldozer from drivers who dumped construction waste at an illegal dump in the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg. This was reported by the press service of the St. Petersburg Prosecutor’s Office.

“It has been established that at the time of the inspection, soil interspersed with construction waste was brought in and placed on the land plot in the area of Bolshaya Kamenka Street using a bulldozer and freight vehicles,” – said the press service.

The owners did not want to part with the equipment and in every possible way prevented its withdrawal. The attackers not only deliberately damaged the bulldozer, but also tried to blame the inspectors for its breakdown. They also announced that they would go to court. The inspectors attracted specialists who repaired the equipment, after which it was taken to a specialized parking lot.

Also, in order to establish the scale of the causal damage to the environment, specialists from the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Center for Laboratory Analysis and Technical Measurements” took soil samples and sent them for research. The inspection was jointly carried out by employees of the St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region FSB Directorate, as well as by specialists from the Committee for Nature Management, Environmental Protection and Environmental Safety, and the Federal State Budgetary Institution Center for Laboratory Analysis and Technical Measurements.

Earlier, “MK in St. Petersburg” said that the dump leading to the accumulation of birds was found near the Pulkovo airport. A landfill with solid household waste at the airport near the airport was located without the approval of the Federal Air Transport Agency and the air traffic organization.
