Stabbing Investigation Underway at Davis Apartment Complex
DAVIS — A stabbing investigation is currently underway at a Davis apartment complex. The incident took place on Saturday afternoon at the Terracina At Wildhorse apartments on Moore Boulevard, near the Wildhorse Golf Club.
According to the Davis Police Department, the stabbing occurred between a married couple. The male victim was stabbed with a knife and has been transported to a local hospital for treatment. The female victim also sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Fortunately, two children who were inside the apartment at the time of the incident were unharmed. Investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.
Residents in the area expressed shock and unease at the level of police activity. One resident, Cathy, stated, “I’m nervous and surprised because this doesn’t happen, not here.”
The Davis Police Department has reported that the woman involved in the incident is cooperating with law enforcement. Further details about the motive or any previous issues between the couple have not been released at this time.
It’s worth noting that the Davis community has recently experienced a series of violent stabbings. Earlier this year, two people lost their lives and another victim was hospitalized in separate incidents. The suspect in those stabbings, former UC Davis student Carlos Dominguez, has been arrested and charged.
