Stade Toulousain and TFC jerseys converted into gowns for hospitalized children

by time news

It is a beautiful solidarity operation and respectful of the environment. On April 7, World Health Day, nearly 200 medical gowns for hospitalized children will be donated to the Toulouse association Les Petites Bosses, which provides individual support, moral, material and financial support to children and sick or disabled adolescents.

These pediatric gowns were made from jerseys from the Stade Toulousain rugby club and the Toulouse Football Club (TFC).

“I am an American sports enthusiast and this practice of converting jerseys for hospital gowns is very widespread there in universities, so this project was really close to my heart, confides Laurent Mommeja, president of the association Les small bumps. There is also a commitment to solidarity since they were made by the Esat Le Soleil d’Oc, an establishment and service providing assistance through work for people with disabilities. The children will wear them to go to the operating room, it will bring them a little comfort in this unpleasant moment”.

Some jerseys, offered in different sizes for children aged 3 to 18, have even been worn during matches.

The delivery of the gowns takes place on Thursday April 7 at the Clinique Médipôle in Toulouse, which advised the association in particular on the washing and hygiene of jerseys in hospitals. It takes place in the presence of the sponsors of the association, François Cros and Maïlys Dhia Traoré from the Toulouse stadium. The TFC is represented by a player from the training center.
