Stages of the ‘Tirreno – Adriatico’: all changes to local public transport

Autolinee Toscane informs that to allow the transit of the cycling race59° Tyrrhenian – Adriatic‘ various changes to traffic are implemented, including the ban on transit on some roads in the Province of Pisa during the passage of the race. For this reason there will be changes in the public transport service on both Tuesday 5 March and Wednesday 6 March 2024.

Tuesday 5 March

To allow the transit of the 2nd stage of the race, approximately from 11.30 am to 2.15 pm, there may be some interruptions to transits and/or impromptu diversions of the public transport lines.

The lines affected will be:

PISA URBAN SERVICE:

– Line 5 ‘Station – Cep’

URBAN SERVICE WIDE AREA:

– Line 80 ‘Filettole – Pisa’ 85 ‘Arena Metato – Pisa’

EXTRA-URBAN SERVICE:

– Line 50 ‘Pisa – Crespina’; 710 ‘Larderello – Cecina’; 730 ‘Lardello – Monteverdi Marittimo’; 820 ‘Volterra – La Sassa’.

On a more exhaustive basis, the locations covered by the cycle race route are listed in sequential transit order: coming from the Province of Lucca → Nodica → Migliarino → SS1 via Aurelia → Pisa → Stagno → via Sorgenti → Collesalvetti → SS206 via Emilia → Crocino → Pomaia → Castellina Marittima → Riparbella → Casino di Terra → Canneto → direction Follonica.

Wednesday 6 March

Approximately from 6 am to 2 pm, to allow the transit of the 3rd stage of the race, there will be some changes to traffic, including the ban on transit on some roads in the city of Volterra (starting place of the race) and in the Province of Pisa during the passage of the race.

– Line 1 ‘Monuments via Carducci – San Giusto’
– Line 2 ‘Le Colombaie – Piazza Martiri – Hospital’

– Line 500 ‘Pontedera – Volterra’
– Line 770 ‘Volterra – Colle Val D’Elsa’
-Line 780 ‘Volterra – Monterotondo’
– Line 790 ‘Volterra – Cecina’
– Line 800 ‘Volterra – Montecatini Valdicecina’

– Line 500 ‘Pontedera – Volterra’: regular route up to Molino D’Era, left on SR439DIR (No San Cipriano) then right continuing towards Pian Dei Gelsi, Roncolla, Volterra Piazza Ginori Conti (No Piazza Martiri).

RACES SUPPRESSED

– Pontedera4-Ponsacco-Capannoli-La Rosa-Volterra at 06.22;
– Pontedera4-Ponsacco-Pons.Rimembranza-Capannoli-La Rosa-Volterra at 06.27 am Volterra-La Rosa-Capannoli-Ponsacco-Pontedera at 1.05 pm,
– Volterra-La Rosa-Capannoli-Ponsacco-Pontedera at 1.05pm.

Finally, Lines 780, 790 and 800, in the ‘SR68 – Volterra section’, will follow the regular route on SR68 up to Volterra Sant’Alessandro roundabout, right towards Piazza Ginori Conti and do not stop at Piazza Martiri.
