In this connection, the Government of Tamil Nadu has issued a press release: ‘The Government of Tamil Nadu is taking various measures to bring students from Ukraine to Tamil Nadu as soon as possible. Chief Minister MK Stalin spoke to Foreign Minister Jaishankar on the phone today.
The Chief Minister then gave details of the Tamil students in Ukraine and asked them to ensure the necessary food, accommodation, security, etc., and to take the necessary steps to bring them back as soon as possible and to appoint a special officer for this purpose.
The Union Foreign Minister has assured the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu that the Government of India is taking all necessary steps to repatriate students from Tamil Nadu and that they will be repatriated soon.
