Stamatis Giatrakos, the well-known music editor of dozens of television series that we loved and music producer, passed away at the age of 65.

He was the man behind the choice of musicians we heard on Saturday Born, Mama’s Cake, Vodka Orange, The Secrets of Eden, The Wild Bees, 50-50, The Apartment Building, The Honorable Hornets and many others, while he had edited the music and many theatrical performances

Stamatis was particularly loved, while with his guitar and his compositions he left a great history in the Greek rock scene.

The news was announced by his brother Nikos.

The “goodbye” of Elena Akrita

Friends and relatives said goodbye to him with moving messages and among them, there was one from Elena Akrita who wrote the following:

“Stamatis Giatrakos the friend, the partner, the wonderful man who filled our lives with exquisite music no longer lives here. This hurts a lot, Stamatis. And George and me and everyone who loved you.”
