Émily Bégin, Pierre Lapointe, and Véronic DiCaire will form the faculty of the new version of Star Académie starting next winter.

The former contestant, who made a name for herself with her boundless energy during the very first edition in 2003, will teach dance and sports to the new academy students.

If her music career had not taken off after her time at the Academy, the singer and actress would have wanted to teach physical education.

“I can’t believe that 22 years later, my plan B is coming to fruition. I want to support the contestants. I want to be like a big sister to them, I want to get them moving, and I want them to feel good in their bodies, to come on stage with confidence,” she stated.

On their side, Pierre Lapointe and Véronic DiCaire will respectively hold the positions of music teacher and singing teacher.

It is the new director of the Academy, Garou, who intends to establish a “summer camp” atmosphere among the groups, who made the announcement on Tuesday afternoon.
