Divyanka Tripathi, a popular actress of Indian Hindi television, opened a bag worth 10 lakh rupees (more than 14 lakh rupees) while traveling to Italy with her husband. Divyanka-Vivek couple’s wallet along with passport was also stolen.
Divyanka-Vivek’s belongings were stolen from Florence, Italy. Vivek Dahiya told The Times of India from Italy, ‘In this trip, apart from this incident, everything is happening abnormally.’
Describing the incident of theft, Vivek Dahiya said, ‘We reached Florence yesterday (July 10). I planned to stay here one day. Went to see the hotel to stay here. We had all our belongings in the car parked outside. Then I was surprised when I came to take the things. Because the car was broken. All valuables including our passports, wallets, money disappeared. Fortunately, we have some old clothes and food left behind.’
The star couple became helpless after this incident. They urgently want the help of the local police. But the police did not help them much. Because there is no CCTV camera in that area. So the police could not help. Later tried to contact the Indian Embassy. But by that time (yesterday) the embassy office was closed.
Although the police did not get the cooperation, the hotel authorities are cooperating enough. But they are in great danger as they do not have passports and money. Vivek Dahiya said to the embassy, ’Temporary passport and embassy cooperation is required to return to India.’
