In the film directed by Anggy Umbara, Luna Maya plays the role of Nyai.
“I play the role of Nyai, his concubine in the house,” said Luna Maya in the Setiabudi area, South Jakarta, Thursday (18/7).
The 40-year-old celebrity said that her role as Nyai was quite unique and different from what she had played before.
“Previously, it was a human who had complex feelings. (In the film) this is not a human. Yes, he is human, but his humanity is gone, indeed his side is very dark,” said Luna Maya.
However, according to him, the film is exciting and interesting to look forward to because for him it is not a horror film.
“People think horror is something scary. It doesn’t always have to be a ghost and this character isn’t a ghost so it’s still exciting,” said Luna Maya.
This Balinese woman then revealed her challenges in playing this character.
