The NGO Global citizen organized on Thursday June 22 in Paris, a giant concert for the climate and against poverty, with Lenny Kravitz, Billie Eilish, HER, Jon Batiste, FINNEAS or Mosimann.
When French politics mingle with international stars. Thursday evening, on the lawn of the Champ-de-Mars in Paris, was organized by Global Citizen, an organization fighting for the climate and against extreme poverty, a giant concert on the sidelines of the summit for a new global financial pact, chaired and received by Emmanuel Macron these days. To challenge the governments present so that things change in terms of the environment, a five-star program with Lenny KravitzBillie Eilish, HER, Finneas, Jon Batiste, Mosimann, Ayra Starr, Jack Harlow and Joé Dwèt Filé.
The concert audience Power Our Planet : Live in Paris will remember the performances (too short?) of HER, impressive on vocals, guitar or drums (!), of Mosimann unleashing the crowd twice, of the incredible and touching communion between Billie Eilish and his audience, or, finally, the hypnotic Lenny Kravitz, tireless alongside Gail Ann Dorsey, who we saw recently on stage during the last tour of -M- and, it should be specified, the former bass player of David Bowie.
Between the concerts, the speeches of climate activists like Camille Etienne, Cyril Dion, Elizabeth Wathuti, Danai Gurira or Helena Gualinga. Music and strong words, but also… whistles. Emmanuel Macron, whose arrival was whispered during this concert Power Our Planet : Live in Pariswas booed twice during the evening at the mention of his name by the Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Mottley or by the actress Diane Krugeralongside his companion Norman Reedus.
For this event in the heart of Paris, the allocation of tickets was done by drawing lots, in exchange for actions carried out in favor of the climate. 20,000 people were present on the lawn of the Champ-de-Mars to attend this show at the foot of the Eiffel Tower.
