jpnn.comJAKARTA – The latest horror film titled Pernikahan Arwah (The Butterfly House) is ready to start filming in August 2024.

Produced by Entelekey Media Indonesia in collaboration with Relate Films, the film was directed by director Paul Agusta.

Ghost Wedding presents a story with a background of Chinese culture and the tradition of ghost weddings.

“With an approach to Chinese culture and traditions in Indonesia that are not often brought to the big screen, we hope this film can provide a new and memorable horror experience for the audience,” said director Paul Agusta, Tuesday (6/8).

The Butterfly House stars a number of famous actors and actresses.

Among others, Morgan Oey and Zulfa Maharani, along with Jourdy Pranata, Brigitta Cynthia, Puty Sjahrul, Ama Gerald, Alam Jaelani, Verdi Solaiman, and Bonita.

The film’s screenplay was written by Aldo Swastia with Ario Sasongko.

Meanwhile, Pernikahan Arwah tells the story of an inter-racial couple, a Chinese-Indonesian man and a native woman, who hold a pre-wedding photo shoot with friends at the ancestral home of the groom-to-be.
