Start of civil works for the new Marj power station project

The General Electricity Company has started implementing civil works on the new 11/30 kV Hamiya Al Marj station project to contribute to improving the electricity supply in the Eastern Region and providing better service to citizens.

The company is also completing the civil works of the 11/66 kV Al-Rahibat Transformer Station project in the Western Mountain, which will contribute to improving the voltage and addressing all bottlenecks.

The cable and station maintenance team in the East Sabha Distribution Department continues maintenance work and replacing a damaged transformer at the Hajara district station, installing a new transformer with a capacity of (1) megawatts, and restoring electricity to residential neighborhoods after completing the connection process.

The company confirmed that the technical teams are continuing maintenance work without interruption to repair the damaged cables in the city of Benghazi linking the North Benghazi station – Al-Hadiqa station, as soon as possible and restore power.
