After Leonie Flötgen, Carina Stuffer is another German professional skier who has announced the end of her career. At the age of only 24 she is giving up her skis.
The speed specialist from Samerberg in Upper Bavaria can look back on two World Cup appearances. However, with placings 32 and 35 in her home races in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, she missed the jump into the points. Now it’s over, as Hans Stuffer’s daughter (three World Cup podiums) reports via her Instagram channel. The “wild fall pilot”, as she calls herself in the farewell post, will now switch to the police service. The new season starts on October 28th with a giant slalom in Sölden.
