A great and important achievement for the Ashdod Urban fans group, which starting next season will get back the name and symbol from 23 years ago

Great news for Maccabi Ashdod fans: After 23 years, the mythical team that plays in the first division has got its original name back.

This means that from the 2022/2023 season, all club clubs from children, through women to adults, will register under the mythological name and symbol, instead of the name Ashdod Football Club.

This move was made possible after the team received the official recognition from the Ashdod Municipal Sports Authority and it will be registered with the new name starting this coming summer break. Jackie Ben Zaken, one of the heads of MS United Ashdod in the Premier League, approved the transfer of the name.

The name “Maccabi Urban Ashdod”, as it was 41 years ago for the first time, and 23 years for the last time, has returned to us in a signed and official manner.
