Acts registered on January 8, in Brasilia
On the morning of this Tuesday (29), the Federal police
launches the 15th phase of Operation Lesa Pátria to identify those involved in the coup acts registered on January 8, in Brasília. According to the PF, two search and seizure warrants are being served, issued by the Federal Supreme Court (STF) against a state deputy in Goiânia (GO) and Piracanjuba (GO).
The name of the parliamentarian was not disclosed by the corporation.
The facts investigated, according to the PF, constitute, in theory, the crimes of violent abolition of the Democratic State of Law, coup d’état, qualified damage, criminal association, incitement to crime, destruction and deterioration or destruction of specially protected property, in addition to crimes under the terrorism law.
The 14th phase of the operation was launched on the 17th, when 10 preventive arrest warrants and 16 search and seizure warrants were served by the corporation in the states of Goiás, Bahia, Paraíba, Paraná, Santa Catarina and the Federal District.
The targets of that phase were suspected of having fomented the movement called “Festa da Selma”, which was previously used to refer to the attacks in Brasília and was used to summon the demonstrators and organize transport for the invasions and the coordinates for the attacks.
“They still recommended not taking the elderly and children, preparing to face the police, and they also defended terms such as war, occupying Congress and overthrowing the constituted government”, stated the PF.
