State Duma deputy Vitaly Kushnarev denied information that he hit a pensioner in Rostov-on-Don, writes RBC Rostov.

Kushnarev said that on the way to the covid hospital, where his parents are, he drove into the courtyard of one of the houses. He noticed the elderly woman twisted her leg and fell as she walked down the curb.

“I got out of the car, helped her, called an ambulance and waited with her for the arrival of the doctors. Now she is in the emergency hospital and she has no complaints against me, ”Kushnarev said.

The deputy told TASS that the incident took place on Gorky Street, where he stopped to orient himself on the terrain, put in reverse gear and wanted to back up when he noticed a pensioner. He noted that, according to his feelings, there was no contact with the woman.

According to him, bruises were found on the woman’s body, now she is in the hospital. Kushnarev said that he called her and the pensioner felt good. “I think that we will talk with her later and, I hope, everything will be fine,” the parliamentarian said.
