Minister Saji Cherian will announce the State Film Awards at 5 pm today. The award will be announced by the final jury chaired by Hindi director and screenwriter Syed Akhtar Mirza. The biggest difference this time is that most of the Malayalam players are in the competition.
Mammootty’s competition films are One and The Priest. Mohanlal movie Drishyam 2 is also vying for the state film award. Suresh Gopi will be seen in the movie Kaval. Apart from these, many actors like Joju George, Saubin Shahir, Tovino Thomas, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Indrans, Jayasurya and Prithviraj are in the fray this time.
