State Open Athletics Championship S.D.A.T., Overall Champion

In the open athletics championship held in Krishnagiri district, Chennai, STAD team won the overall champion title. The 35th state level junior athletics championships organized by Tamil Nadu State Athletic Association and Krishnagiri District Athletic Association were held in Krishnagiri recently. A total of 5,000 male and female players from all districts of Tamil Nadu including Chennai, Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu participated in the competition. In this, 100 m and 200 m were started in four categories of 14, 16, 18 and 20 years old. m., and races up to 10 thousand m., were held. Also, all the athletics competitions including triple jump, discus throw, javelin throw, shot put and long jump were conducted. At the end of all the competitions, STAD team won the overall champion title by scoring 481 points. Prime Sports Academy with 346 points and Thiruvallur District Athletic Association with 135 points won the next places. It is noteworthy that the Thiruvallur team has won the overall champion title for the third time in a row.
