Salem, -The state sports competition for dentists in Salem has started.
The 9th State Sports Tournament for Dentists, on behalf of the Indian Dental Association, Tamil Nadu Branch, started yesterday at Udayappatti, Salem. Mayor Ramachandran, MLAs Rajendran and Arul started. The two-day tournament features a variety of competitions including running, javelin throwing, shot put, athletics, volleyball, basketball, carom, chess, and feather ball.
More than 700 dentists from various districts participated. Further winners will qualify for the national competition. State President Umasankar and Secretary Senthamaraikannan participated in the inauguration ceremony.
