State sports competitions for college teams start today in Chennai

On behalf of MOP Vaishnava Girls’ College, Nungambakkam, Chennai, the Sports Competitions (WASPO) for girls’ college teams will be held today (Thursday) and tomorrow (Friday) at the TG Vaishnava College Grounds, Arumbakkam.

In this, 6 competitions are held namely Badminton, Ball Badminton, Chess, Table Tennis, Basketball and Volleyball. More than 450 players from 26 colleges including SRM, St. Joseph’s, Stella Mary’s, Ethiraj, Ranimari are participating in this tournament.

The winners of the competition are also given a medal and a cash prize of Rs 1.12 lakh.
