Stationary gaming and another 3-5 (there is approx. a 1660 screen that will be replaced later) – advice before buying a computer

by time news

Hello everyone,

Interested in a new gaming stand in a budget of 3-5 (without perimeter/m2 and without approx. screen)

I will transfer the current 1660 card to him and in the future I will buy approx. New screen

The computer is mainly for gaming (with discord and streaming), but also ableton and some virtual machine here and there, therefore leaning towards i7 (or Ryzen7)

Deciding whether to take an outgoing generation (12, 5000) cheaply with DDR4

Or invest in a new generation (13, 7000) with DDR5 thinking that it will last longer

Will be connected to a widescreen 21:9 resolution 3440×1440 refresh 144 (Xiaomi 34)

And also for Oculus quest 2

Guess I’ll need some sort of 3070 to really take advantage of them.

I would love to know which minimal graphics card you should aim for

The computer sits in a relatively small room (6 square meters) without air conditioning, so I prefer it to generate less heat.

That’s why I’m leaning towards 12700 vs 12600k (does that make sense or nonsense?)

A motherboard that will also include wifi, bt

Memory 32

Power supply – guess it’s worth some 850 so as not to limit the future graphics card?

Case – a relatively small case is preferable. Don’t need a mini ITX but not a monster

There will be a type c connection on the panel of the case

No LED is needed. It is possible as long as it can be turned off if it bothers me

In general, it is better without a glass window

Store – leaning towards TMS because I have good experience with them of 4 computers in the last decade,

But does not rule out competitive and reliable alternatives.

Open to order from abroad. Can assemble by myself if necessary.

You can purchase now. You can wait if another price drop is expected for the old generation or even wait for the 13th generation

Advice, comments and specifications are welcome

Thanks in advance
