Stephane Leger, the Israeli dancer and singer, is currently starring in “Dancing with the Stars France”. Yesterday (Sunday) in between his busy schedule, Leger arrived in Israel to appear in the “Master Chef VIP” special. In an interview he conducted with “Mako”, Leger talked about the struggle and difficulties, just before the semi-finals in France.

Stephane Leger and the dancer Callison Guadoya are among the last four couples in the French reality show, and if they succeed in one more elimination, they will reach the grand finale of the show, which will be held on November 11. Leger said: “I get good treatment from the French, good energy, as I expected. They are supportive and very interested in the whole Israel section. They ask a lot of questions and are very nice. Anti-Israeli hostility? I don’t encounter it, even the opposite. Although it’s easiest on the Internet, Honestly, since I’ve been here I haven’t seen a single pro-Palestinian reaction or anything anti-Semitic. I think the image that people have in their minds is different, and I bring a different image that they don’t expect, so it’s automatically easier for them to be interested and be good. They don’t come against in advance or anything like that “.

About the difficulty in the program, Lager said: “We don’t have time to recover. Every day there are rehearsals, all day, until Friday, and then on Friday-Saturday there are rehearsals for the program. I must say that before I entered the program I was already ready for it, because I am, as it were, a basic dancer and that’s how I started my career, so people think it’s easy. And there was this confusion of ‘as what is he participating here, a dancer or a star,’ although for me it was obvious, because I’m known here and a lot of people don’t know. I don’t understand why people ask That question. And people said that with the fact that I’m dancing, it’s clear that I’m taking, that I’m winning, because I’m a dancer. And in my head I just said that I have a bit of a base, so maybe that will help me.”

Leger continued: “But then I got here and I realized that it has nothing to do with what I did before, suddenly I’m learning a different language, a different way to move, it’s to leave all the habits I had for a few years in dance to learn a new form. To leave your habits and get used to other things while Some days, it’s just crazy. A lot of people say it’s harder than people who don’t dance at all, because when you tell a person who hasn’t danced before to stand and not move, or only the lower body to move – then he’ll do it automatically, because he’s not used to anything. And I Used to moving the whole body.”

Leger added: “Suddenly they tell me to tuck in my ass, lift my chest, don’t move up, be with a frame, it’s really a nightmare,” he explains. “There was a week when we danced tango, and I had a really bad time, I got a score of 4 from one of the judges and it was so difficult. Then there was talk of Stefan having a hard time with standard dances, but the dance I made it to the semi-finals with was the foxtrot, which is the most difficult dance in the standard dances” .

“This week was a very important week, a week with a lot of pressure leading up to the semi-finals. It was hard and scary, because it’s really something I don’t get along with, and then the dance translated it into something related to life, that you shouldn’t give up. It was so hard for me every This week, and no one expected me to perform it like that. And this week there was a task in the program to break your own record, and the highest score was mine and another couple’s. It was a cry of joy, of a sense of relief, I was very overwhelmed.”

On the question of whether he intends to stay in France and plan a career there, Lager said: “I am managing my career in France in advance. Now the program will give a push to the singles that have been released, and on Friday a song in French with a music video will also be released. I have performances after the program, an EP album. And it is not that I have left the country or something, I manage everything at the same time. The story with the security guards was planned, it’s not something bad. It mostly scared the audience, but really there’s nothing to worry about.”
