On September 24, 2024, during the general meeting of “FC CSKA 1948” association, changes in the composition of the management board were adopted.

The meeting accepted the resignation of the previous chairman, Dobrin Gyonov, and elected Stefan Sotirov as the new chairman.
The Board of Directors also elected Stefan Sotirov as Executive Director. He will take over from Dobrin Gjonov, who held this position for the past eight years.

Stefan Sotirov was born in 1990. in Sofia. He received his secondary education at the Italian Lyceum, then graduated in “Law” at the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and worked as a lawyer for several years.

In 2019, he went to Madrid, where he specialized in “Sports Business and Law” at the La Liga Business School. To his specializations in sports, he added the “Certificate in Football Management” (CFM), which he completed with honors in 2024, jointly organized by UEFA and the University of Lausanne, Switzerland.

Since 2017, he has been a member of CSKA’s board of directors, and since 2021 he has held the position of administrative director of the club’s children’s and youth school.

In 2023, he was elected a member of the youth football working group of the European Club Association (ECA).
