This Saturday, races 5 and 6 took place. In the first, the Peruvian placed 20th with 20 points. And in the second, he positioned himself in 14th place, with the same number of points.

Despite it not being a good day, Peschiera remains among the top 10 (the qualifying spots for the final). He is currently fourth with 46 points, four behind third (Pavlos Kontides) and six behind second (Michael Beckett).

DAY 2 OF COMPETITION

Still fighting for the medal races. The Peruvian sailor Stefano Peschiera competed on his second day in the men’s dinghy category of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, where after two races he is positioned in third place in the overall results. Now, everything is set for him to be part of Day 3.

Stefano Peschiera led the standings on the first day. For the second event at the Marina Marseille, he finished race 3 in 14th place, while in race number 4 he was eleventh. These results left the Peruvian with a total of 18 points, making him third in the overall list.

Ahead of him are Matt Wearn from Australia (15 points) and Filip Jurisic from Croatia (18 points). In sailing, the lower the points accumulated, the better the position of the athletes.

On Saturday, August 3, races 5 and 6 are scheduled. A total of ten races will be held. The top ten classified sailors from the opening series will advance to the quarter-final stage in the Medal Race.

This Friday marked the start of the Men’s Dinghy in the sailing events of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, where the Peruvian Stefano Peschiera took part in the initial races of the event.
