The Chairperson of the Bulgarian Olympic Committee, Stefka Kostadinova, arrived in Paris two days before the opening of the Olympic Games. She traveled to the French capital together with Bulgarian Olympians – our first medalist from Tokyo Antoineta Kostadinova (shooting), Kaloyana Nalbantova, Stefani Stoeva and Gabriela Stoeva (badminton), Desislava Angelova and Kristiyan Vassilev (rowing).
At the airport in Sofia, many travelers took pictures with the athletes and the head of the BOK and wished success to the Bulgarians in Paris.
Especially the Bulgarian rowers Kristiyan Vassilev and Desislava Angelova received wishes for success from the artist Stefan Nikolaev, living and working in Paris and Sofia, while graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts in the French capital.
With the Bulgarian delegation, which arrived today on French soil, is Petar Stoychev, who this time will be in a different role – he became the first Bulgarian nominated by the International Swimming Federation to the Technical Committee for the Olympic pool competitions.
