The chairman of the BOK talks to ours via video link, the Bulgarian participation starts tonight with Rushdi Rushdi on a cannonball

At the start of the Bulgarian participation in the Paralympic Games in Paris, Stefka Kostadinova encouraged the relatives and wished them success in the upcoming competitions. Through a video link, the BOC president spoke with our three athletes, their coaches and the rest of our 9-member delegation in the Olympic village.

“Bulgaria is with you, I want to give you strength, faith and enormous energy for the upcoming starts. I am confident that our excellent performance from the recently concluded Olympics in Paris will continue now at the Paralympics through your performances. All three of you are prominent and experienced competitors, capable of delighting your compatriots with new sporting successes. I am looking for you not as a leader, but with the long experience of a competitor who knows how important support is. Bulgaria’s participation in the Paralympics begins on August 30, and I hope that there will be some symbolism in this, since it was on this date 37 years ago that I set the world record,” Kostadinova said, after which she spoke personally with each of our three representatives at the games and said their personal support to them, their coaches and leaders.In Paris in the coming days, the athletes Ruzhdi Ruzhdi, Stella Eneva and Hristiyan Stoyanov will present to us.

The Bulgarian Paralympians were pleasantly surprised by Kostadinova’s wishes and thanked from the bottom of their hearts for the support. “For us, such words from one of the legends not only of Bulgarian, but also of world sports, mean a lot. This inspires us with strength and confidence, makes us ambitious to give our best,” said Rushdi Rushdi, who is the Rio2016 Paralympic champion and Tokyo2020 runner-up in the shot put, with gratitude in response to the wishes.

In addition to our three Paralympians Stella Eneva (with three silver medals so far in the discus and shot put from the Paralympics in Beijing2008 and London2012), Rushdi Rushdi and Hristiyan Stoyanov (vice-champion in the 1500 m from Tokyo2020), in the video conversation from the office of the Bulgarian delegation in the Olympic village their coaches – respectively Tony Velkov, Radostin Todorov and Evgeni Ignatov, as well as the chairman of the National Paralympic Organization Iliya Lalov and the presser Esmerai Ibryam. Lalov thanked Kostadinova for the support, noting how important it is on the eve of the start of our representatives in the French capital.
