Stellantis is betting its future on a massive capital injection, outlining how it will spend $69.7 billion on global platforms, powertrains, and technology, as reported by MotorTrend. The strategy, dubbed “FaSTLAne 2030,” aims to reverse a period of declining sales and profits by focusing resources on four core global brands: Jeep, Ram, Fiat, and Peugeot. These four brands are allocated 70 percent of the company’s total resources. While the company is not abandoning its regional brands—Chrysler, Dodge, and Alfa Romeo—it is refocusing them to meet specific market demands. CEO Antonio Filosa emphasized that eliminating these brands would simply hand customers to competitors. Instead, the company expects to increase its North American market coverage from 60 to 90 percent, with a goal of 35 percent sales growth in the region by 2030. According to CNBC, this growth is expected to be driven largely by a 60 percent increase in Chrysler and Ram Truck sales.

Chrysler is moving away from its minivan-heavy reputation by introducing three new SUVs before 2030. The brand’s product offensive begins with the mid-size Airflow, an SUV expected to start below $40,000. As detailed by Motor1, the Airflow is designed to compete with near-luxury offerings like the Buick Envision and Mazda CX-70. Joining the Airflow are two compact models, the Arrow and the Arrow Cross. These vehicles are intended to be high-volume, affordable options, with starting prices targeted below $30,000. While the standard Arrow is positioned as a sedan-like crossover, the Arrow Cross will feature a more traditional SUV silhouette. Car and Driver reports that these models will utilize platforms sourced from Europe and offer a variety of powertrain options, including hybrids. Additionally, Chrysler confirmed that a rugged variant of the Pacifica minivan is in the works, potentially based on the previously teased “Grizzly Peak” concept.

Dodge is repositioning itself as a performance-first brand with a new entry-level SUV and a halo muscle car. The upcoming SUV will carry the “GLH” badge—a nod to the 1980s Omni hatchback that stood for “Goes Like Hell.” During a presentation in Detroit, CEO Tim Kuniskis described the vehicle as a true entry-level performance vehicle. Pricing for the GLH is expected to remain below $40,000. “Every brand in Stellantis will play a clear role in delivering our FastLane 2030 commitments,”Antonio Filosa, CEO of Stellantis Beyond the GLH, Dodge is keeping the Durango in the lineup with a substantial refresh. For enthusiasts, the brand is developing a new mid-size muscle car coupe featuring a large rear wing, which will receive the SRT treatment. Reports also suggest that an SRT version of the Charger is already in development, with the possibility of a new halo model—potentially called the Copperhead—joining the lineup to serve as a flagship sports car.

Ram is set to expand its reach with a diverse array of trucks, including two new models slated for 2028: the compact Rampage and the mid-size Dakota. The Rampage, already a fixture in the South American market, is expected to finally reach U.S. showrooms to compete with the Ford Maverick. The Dakota is also expected to receive an SRT performance trim. The brand’s expansion continues into the full-size SUV segment with the introduction of the Ramcharger, which will also feature an SRT performance variant. These additions complement a broader strategy that includes an all-new light-duty truck, a heavy-duty truck, a range-extended electric truck, and a full-size commercial van. By 2030, Stellantis intends to have half of its global volume generated by three primary global platforms, including the newly introduced STLA One.
