The stepmother of a boy aged one year and three months was arrested red-handed after the child was hospitalized for ingesting a piece of hashish (a drug derived from marijuana) in Salvador.
What happened:
The child was admitted to the hospital with symptoms of intoxication for ingestion of a piece of hashish last night. He was taken by his father and stepmother, aged 21, to the UPA (Emergency Care Unit) São Marcos, in Salvador.
The Military Police were called after officials became suspicious of the conditions in which the boy arrived. to the health facility.
The woman was arrested this morning for attempted murder. She alleges that the ingestion occurred “accidentally”, according to the Civil Police. The child’s father was heard, but was not detained because he would not have been in the house during the incident.
The baby was intubated this afternoon and was transferred to Santo Antônio Hospital, also in Salvador, according to TV Santa Cruz, an affiliate of TV Globo.
