The daughter of the late actor Aiantas Manthopoulos will compete in the Paralympic Games and will depart tomorrow for Paris.
The 19-year-old daughter of Aiantas Manthopoulos, Lida, discovered about a year ago that she suffers from multiple sclerosis and is expected to compete in the 100 meters at the Paralympics on August 31. It is noted that the Paralympic Games will take place from August 28 to September 8 in the City of Light.
The athlete, speaking on the show “Perimeter” about the time she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, mentioned that at first, it was very difficult as it took a long time for her to realize what was happening in her body.
“I hesitated at first but then I got back on the field. There were very severe pains. My daily life changed a lot. I gradually got back on the field, I was quite hesitant at first but it’s something I love, I cherish it, and I will continue. Nothing will bring me down,” she stated emphatically.
Finally, according to her coach, there are hopes for great things and the goals are very high. It is reminded that her father passed away in October 2023 at the age of 61, following his hospitalization at “Attikon” Hospital.
