Steve Smith has surpassed Kumar Sangakkara and Sachin Tendulkar in the list of highest run scorers after 150 innings.
The Australian team continues to tour Pakistan and play in the Test series. Australia’s Steve Smith has been outstanding in the series. He scored 78 and 72 in the first and second Tests in Rawalpindi and Karachi respectively. Steve Smith scored a fifty in the first innings of the 3rd and final Test currently being played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. But he was bowled out for 59 not out. Steve Smith set a new record in Test cricket.
He has so far played 150 innings in Tests and scored 7,993 runs. Smith overtook Kumar Sangakkara (7,913) and Sachin Tendulkar (7,869) for the most runs in 150 innings. Virender Sehwag (7,694 runs) and Rahul Dravid (7,680 runs) are next in the list. Despite failing to score a hundred, many have been congratulating Steve Smith on his achievement.
