Thiruvananthapuram: People staged a road blockade in front of the Thiruvananthapuram sub-station last night condemning the power outage in Sannyasikkuppam village. Heavy rains lashed Puducherry last night. The power supply to Sannyasikkuppam village in Thiruvananthapuram block was disrupted. The power supply was not restored till yesterday evening. Thiruvananthapuram Inspector Rajakumar, Sub-Inspector Kumaravelu and the police held talks with the protesters and promised to take appropriate action. The villagers subsequently abandoned the struggle. 20 minutes of traffic was affected by the storm.
