Investing.com – Shares in Israel closed higher at the end of trading on Tuesday, when price increases were recorded in the , and sectors, pulling the indexes up.

At the close of trading in Tel Aviv, the index added 0.79%.

Among the leading stocks in the index today, the Ashstrom Group stock (TASE:) stood out, which added 6.03% or 313.00 points to its value, and its price was 5,500.00 at the close of trading. At the same time, the share of Teva Pharmaceutical Industries (TASE:) completed an increase of 5.49% or 168.00 points, and closed at a price of 3,229.00, while the share of Delek Group (TASE:) added 3.06% or 950.00 points, to a price of 32,000.00 at the end of the trading day.

The worst performance was registered by Shikhun and Binui share (TASE:), which closed down 6.85% or 53.20 points, and traded at a price of 724.00 at the end of the trading day. The share of OPC Energy Ltd. (TASE:) shed 1.75% or 51.00 points to a price of 2,860.00, and the share of Big Shopping Centers Ltd. (TASE:) closed down 1.65% or 530.00 points with a price of 31,500.00.

The number of shares that closed higher exceeded the number of shares that closed lower in trading on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange with 256 compared to 186 respectively, with 42 remaining unchanged.

Shikun Vabinui (TASE: ) fell to a three-year low, shedding 6.85% or 53.20 points to trade at 724.00.

The contract for crude oil futures for delivery in May added 2.60% or 1.76 and closed at $69.58 a barrel. And more in commodity trading – Brent oil futures for delivery in May completed an increase of 1.97% or 1.45 and reached a price of $75.24 per barrel, while the April contract for gold futures recorded a decrease of 2.09% or 41.35 points, closing at a price of $1,941.45 per ounce.

The pair USD/ILS lost 0.14% and traded at a price of 3.65, while the pair EUR/ILS completed an increase of 0.36% and reached the level of 3.93.

Futures on the US dollar index traded down 0.01% and settled at 102.93.
