(ANSA) – MILAN, JULY 18 – Piazza Affari rose in the session, but was forced to slow down at the end due to the difficulties of Wall Street, where the rebound of big tech failed. The Ftse Mib index rose by 0.43%, driven by bets for a rate cut in September both in Europe, where the ECB has not closed the door, and in the US, where the labor market continues to show signs of weakening requested by the Fed. On the Milan stock exchange, Iveco (+5.8%) and Stellantis (+1.9%) stood out, with the entire automotive sector benefiting from the data on June registrations and the above-expected results of Volvo. Snam (+1.8%), Inwit (+1.7%), Tenaris (+1.5%), Tim (+1.2%) and Eni (+1%) also performed well, in a positive session for utilities and energy. Bucking the trend are Prysmian (-1.6%), Stm (-1.5%), Recordati (-1%) and Amplifon (-0.8%). Outside the Ftse Mib rally are Webuild (+6.5%), Immsi (+4.9%) and Fincantieri (+4.3%) while Bialetti (-3%) and Safilo (-2.4%) slipped. (ANSA).
