Mumbai: Today (Friday) trade in Mumbai stock market started with decline. The Sensex fell 238 points to 59,967 in early trade. Similarly, the NSE Nifty fell 60 points to 17,832.

Stock markets started the weekend trade on a lower note. As of 09:57 am, the Sensex was down 585.31 points at 59,619.75. Nifty closed down 129.85 points at 17,762.10 on the NSE.

Stock markets continued their decline on Wednesday amid subdued conditions in global markets, the US Federal Bank’s monetary policy release next week and India’s budget. The Sensex, which started with a 238-point decline, soon fell by 600 points.

In terms of individual stocks, Tata Motors, ITC, M&M, Bajaj Finserv, Adltara Tech Cement, HCL Technologies, Tata Steel, Bajaj Finance, Infosys, Maruti Suzuki were the gainers. Sunpharma Industries, NTPC, TCS, Nestle India, IndusInd Bank, Wipro, Power Grid Corporation, Tech Mahindra, Bharti Airtel, L&T, Titan Company, Hindustan Unilever, Reliance Industries, Asian Paints, State Bank of India, HDFC Bank, HDFC , ICICI Bank shares were in decline.
