Mumbai: Today (Tuesday) trading in the Mumbai stock market started with a boom. The Sensex rose 195 points to 57,849 in early trade. Similarly, the Nifty rose 54 points to 17,039 on the national bourse.

Stock markets opened on a positive note on Tuesday. As of 10:05 am, the Sensex was up 34.03 points at 57,687.89. The NSE Nifty was down 01.15 points at 16,984.55.

Indian stock markets started trading on a positive note today due to positive conditions prevailing in global markets.

In terms of individual stocks, IndusInt Bank, TCS, HDFC, Tata Steel, HCL Technologies, HDFC Bank, Power Grid Corporation, Bajaj Finserv, Titan Company, Hindustan Unilever were the gainers. Asian Paints, Bharti Airtel, Tata Motors, M&M, Sunpharma Industries, Axis Bank, Tech Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, L&T and Nestlé India were the decliners.
