Mumbai: Today (Friday) trading in the Mumbai stock market started with fluctuations. The Sensex rose 47 points to 60,400 in early trade. Similarly, the Nifty rose 10 points to 18,003 on the national bourse.

The weekend trade in the stock markets began with a flurry of fluctuations. As of 09:51 am, the Sensex was up 59.87 points at 60,413.14. The Nifty rose 31.10 points to 18,023.25 on the national bourse.

Indian stock markets opened trading today with volatility due to unfavorable global environment and rising crude oil prices.

Reliance Industries, ITC, M&M, L&T, Hindustan Unilever, Tata Steel, Nestlé India, NTPC, Sunpharma, Bharti Airtel, Titan Company, Bajaj Finance, Power Grid Corporation, Wipro, Tata Motors, Asian Paints in terms of individual stocks , State Bank of India, Ultra Tech Cements shares were higher. Declining stocks included Kodak Mahindra, HCS Technologies, HDFC, Maruti Suzuki, Tech Mahindra, Axis Bank, Infosys, IndusInt Bank, TCS, ICICI Bank and Bajaj Finserv.
