The Sensex was up 108 points at 58021 points and the Nifty was up 30 points at 17276 points. Shares of IT, pharma, healthcare and realty stocks rose, while stocks of fast-moving consumer goods, metals, banks and finance declined.

At 10.30 am, the Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex was down 530 points at 57,370 points and the National Stock Exchange Nifty was down 170 points at 17,077 points. Persistent Systems 3 gained 74 per cent to Rs 4,671 and Infosys rose 3.30 per cent to Rs 1,830. Shares of Tata Tele and KPR Mill also gained.

Shares of Ipul Housing Bin, Spandana Spookurti, G Entertainment and Vedanta declined and traded lower.
