Another week of prolonged volatility and intense caution was completed by the Athens Stock Exchange, with the General Index completing 28 consecutive meetings within the narrow range of 1,400 – 1,450 units.

Fortunately for investors, however, there were some Cap and Mid Cap stocks that managed to stand out and add some… salt and pepper to an otherwise “tasteless” and “unhealthy” five days.

Stocks… beacons

Her stock Lamda Development was undoubtedly the main “protagonist”, as during the week it managed to approach this year’s highs of 7.6 euros again, recording a cumulative increase of almost +6.5%. This resulted in the 2024 return exceeding +10%, with the market value reaching €1.3 billion.

Its stock followed closely behind Alphawhich thanks to 4/5 “green” meetings, said goodbye to the week with a positive change of +5.3%. Somehow, the bank, which has underperformed relative to the rest of the financial index, has again approached the 1.6 euro mark, although it is still 11% away from the “peaks” of 1.79 euro.

Special mention should be made to Cenergywhich against the reasonable volatility in view of the increase of the share capital by up to 200 million euros, continued the sideways-upward movement, approaching the fringes of 10 euros, which constitute the stock’s all-time high (almost 4% gains in week).

At the same time, his stock OTEstaying true to the upward trend of the second half, managed to climb to the best levels since July 2023, surpassing the 15 euro mark, thanks to the weekly +3.5%. The 2024 change now stands at +20%, with gains since June 1 exceeding +15%.

Finally, her stock Titan Cement, not losing touch with recent all-time highs of €33.7, it has rallied by 3.9% in the last five days, successfully defending its €2.5 billion market cap and bringing back this year’s cumulative change of over +50% . And the yield in 12 months is calculated at least 90%.

The “mediums” that stood out

From Mid-Cap, now, we could single out his stock ADMIEwhich thanks to developments with the Cyprus electric cable, rose by 3.2% in the week, while its share continued to impress Cree – Creewhich figures in uncharted territory (13 euros), with the stock expanding by 5.6% in the five-day period.
