At the close of trading in New York, the index added 0.54%, while the index rose by 0.88%, and the index strengthened by 1.35%.
Among the leading stocks in the index today, the Boeing stock (NYSE: ) stood out, which added 4.20% or 8.53 points to its value, and its price was 211.59 at the close of trading. Meanwhile, Apple (NASDAQ: ) added 3.26% or 5.95 points to trade at 188.63 while Walt Disney (NYSE: ) added 2.06% or 1.86 points to trade at 92.20 in late trade.
The worst performer was United Health Group (NYSE: ), which closed down 1.62% or 8.53 points, to trade at 516.41 at the end of the trading day. Chevron (NYSE: ) declined 0.90% or 1.29 points to 141.83 and American Express (NYSE: ) was down 0.66% or 1.20 points to 179.80.
The best performers today in the S&P 500 index were recorded by the shares of Pastanal (NASDAQ: ), which added 7.18% to its value at a price of 67.93, American Airlines Group (NASDAQ: ), which completed an increase of 6.88% and closed at the price of 13.82 and the shares of Southwest Airlines (NYSE :), which increased by 6.79% and ended trading at a price of 30.02.
Among the weakest stocks today were Discover Financial Services (NYSE:), which fell 10.80% and ended the trading day at 97.00, Yomana (NYSE:), which lost 7.99% to 411.97 and Key Corp (NYSE:), which weakened by 4.62% and closed the trading day on the stock exchange at a price of 13.20.
The best performers today in the NASDAQ index were recorded by Cellularity (NASDAQ:), which added 53.48% to its value at a price of 0.29, Panwar (NASDAQ:), which completed an increase of 48.89% and closed at a price of 0.24 and Nvni Group Ltd (NASDAQ:) , which increased by 45.95% and ended the trade at a price of 2.70.

The gold futures contract for February delivery added 0.92% or 18.45 to settle at $2,024.95 per ounce. And more in commodity trading – crude oil futures for delivery in March completed an increase of 2.03% or 1.47 and reached a price of $73.95 per barrel, while the March contract for Brent oil futures registered an increase of 1.53% or 1.19 points, closing at a price of $79.07 per barrel.

Futures on the US dollar index traded down 0.02% and settled at 103.19.
