An operation is underway in central Stockholm on suspicion of a serious crime.
During the night, the police confirmed that they are investigating a suspected murder.
The alarm came at 22.20.
Police were on site at the address in central Stockholm with at least two patrols. An ambulance was also on the scene.
But the police were very tight-lipped about what it was about.
– We are investigating a serious crime. Other than that, I can’t say anything at all, says Mikael Pettersson at the Stockholm Police.
Late in the night, the police confirmed that it was a suspected murder.
One person arrested
– We have a person detained in the case, says Mikael Pettersson to TT at around 03.30.
According to information to Aftonbladet, the alarm originally concerned a case of illness. When the ambulance arrived at the scene, the person was dead.
Unclear circumstances surrounding the sequence of events prompted the police to initiate a preliminary investigation into murder.
A person who was in the apartment was arrested.
The site has been cordoned off and will undergo a technical investigation.
