Ratlam: Stones were pelted on Lord Ganesh’s procession in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh. After the stone pelting, heavy security forces have been deployed at important places in the city. This incident took place in Mochipura area on Saturday night. It is being told that some people were carrying the idol of Lord Ganesh for the 10-day Ganesh festival.
A police official said that when the police reached the spot, their vehicle was also damaged in the stone pelting. SP Rahul Kumar Lodha said that the situation is under control now. He said that about 500 people surrounded the Station Road Police Station on Saturday night and demanded action against an unknown person who threw stones at the procession in Mochipura area. Police registered a case against the unknown person on a complaint and reached the spot for investigation. The crowd also accompanied the police to the spot.

Lodha said that the police had to resort to lathicharge to disperse the crowd from the spot. He said that police were called from Javra city and Dhar district in Ratlam and heavy security force has been deployed around the city.
