Cyclone Mandous, which is forming in the Bay of Bengal, will blow strong winds in Tamil Nadu from today, the Chennai Meteorological Department has informed. The Meteorological Department has announced that heavy rain will fall in 7 districts including Cuddalore, Mayiladuthurai, due to the storm symbol prevailing in the Southwest Bay of Bengal.
A holiday has been declared for schools in Tiruvarur and Thanjavur districts as a precaution against heavy rains. According to the Meteorological Department, 7 districts including Cuddalore and Mayiladuthurai will receive very heavy rains due to Cyclone Mandus formed in Southwest Bay of Bengal.
In this regard, a holiday has been declared for schools today in Tiruvarur district. The collector has announced a holiday for schools and colleges in Thanjavur district today.
