In the region, Ariège, Haute-Garonne, Hautes-Pyrénées, Gers, Tarn, Lot, Tarn-et-Garonne and Aveyron have been placed on orange alert.

The first storm will hit the south of Occitanie, bringing high intensity rain, with 30 to 50 mm of rain expected in one to two hours, and hail.

All departments on orange alert will experience the same phenomena in the late afternoon. With strong gusts: 80 to 100 km/h in eastern Midi-Pyrénées and 90 to 110 km/h in Auvergne, Burgundy and Lorraine.

The rain will continue throughout the evening and will reach 30 to 50 millimetres or even 60 millimetres in the most persistent storms.

During the night from Saturday to Sunday, the storms will rapidly weaken, producing only light rainfall and the orange alert will end.
