The writer Jean-Baptiste Andrea, winner of the Goncourt Prize, Tuesday November 7, for his novel “Veiller sur elle”, published by L’Iconoclaste, is the guest of 20 Heures.
The suspense ended at 1 p.m., Tuesday November 7, when the Académie Goncourt finally revealed the name of the lucky winner: Jean-Baptiste Andrea. The 52-year-old writer is the author of a fresco of almost 600 pages. With “Watch over her“, it immerses readers in a story of love and mysteries in 20th century Italy. A novel for the general public which finally convinced the jury of the prestigious award.
A novel full of magic and joy
“I wanted to write a novel that resembled the ones I love as a reader. It’s true that we talk a lot about darkness in our world and I believe that from the moment we have the possibility of inventing and creating, I wanted to bring back this magic and this joy which also exist in our environment. and which we don’t talk about much“, explains Jean-Baptiste Andrea, on the set of 20 Heures, Tuesday November 7.
