Despite films earning a lot of money on Independence Day weekend, cinema people are worried. The reason for their worry is that no big Bollywood film is releasing for the next two months. Cinema experts say that this is a perfect example of ‘four days of moonlight and then dark night’. Earlier, the three months from April to June were completely dry at the box office.
It would have been better if the filmmakers had come up with a better release calendar
If we leave aside the massive collections of ‘Kalki’, then July and half of August were also not very special. Now, films have definitely broken records of collections on the 15th August weekend, but in the coming days, no big Bollywood film is going to be released before Dussehra. This means that during this time, it will once again become difficult for us to recover the expenses of cinema halls. It would have been better if the film makers had come up with a better release calendar and avoided clashes, so that everyone would have got a chance to earn more.
Movies releasing in the coming days
If we look at the release schedule of films in the coming days, apart from Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay’s film ‘GOAT’, Kangana Ranaut’s most awaited film ‘Emergency’ will be released in the first week of September. Kareena Kapoor’s film ‘Birmingham Murder’ will be released in the same week. Junior NTR’s film ‘Devra’ will be released in the last week of September.
The box office will return to glory directly on the release dates of Dussehra and Diwali
Although there was talk of release of Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Sky Force’ on Gandhi Jayanti on October 2, but now the news is that this film has been postponed. In such a situation, now the box office will return to life directly on the release date of Dussehra and Diwali, while films from Bollywood to South cinema will be released. On Dussehra, Bollywood films Alia Bhatt’s Jigra and Rajkumar Rao’s ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’ will be released. On the other hand, many films from South cinema including Rajinikanth’s ‘Vettiyan’, Surya’s ‘Kangava’ and Dhruva Sarja’s ‘Martin’ will be released. On Diwali, there will be a clash between Ajay Devgan’s ‘Singham 3’ and Kartik Aryan’s ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’.
